The purpose of this post is to get some tips and steps to take as you go along your chosen spiritual experience and journey. When it comes to the practice of witchcraft, one thing that is so basic to it is the creation on your altar. In so far as the altars go, these are generally to be taken for those personal and scared spaces that you devote for your practice of magic. They can assume any form as you can leave them open spaces out in the open while for some they are often spaces that are shielded from the public eyes. Added to this, there are some who may enjoy as much of space and as such can have an elaborate set up for their altars while for others still, they do well with the simple displays for their altars. But all said and done, whatever approach you choose to go with, you need to simply appreciate the fact that an altar is all about you and the needs you have for the practice of magic and witchcraft. Generally, this makes it a point to make sure that when setting up your altar you make it as personal as you may intend to so as to make it enhance your practice and not make you feel like it is yet another thing that you have to take care of. So, what are altars for at the end of the day?

Talking of the purposes of altars, you need to know of the fact that they serve a lot of varied purposes. One, note that there are those who use the altars as spaces to show reverence to their choice deities. For those that want to worship their ancestors, the altars will be such spaces for them to commune with their ancestors. At times, you may even use the altars for both purposes of connecting and communing with the ancestors and as well for honoring your choice deity and all the same, you may use it for neither of the two anyway.
